Jay began experimenting with alcohol at sequence 12; alcohol-related vehicular accident resulting in suspension of drivers license and DUI at age 16; attended AA meeting for 3 months.
CURRENT emplacement: recent break up with girlfriend of 2 age; flunking out of freshman year in college; spending 30% of monthly income on alcohol. Willing to attend counseling academic session to win girlfriend back but not admitting to alcohol dependency or alcohol-related consequences. Parents are threatening financial disengagement of support for both his school and living expenses.

Attitude and Behavior of: Jay is displaying a reluctant attitude and masking signs of denial and deflection. He is blaming everyone around him for the consequences he is experiencing and not recognizing his role. He minimizes the consequences of his use of alcohol and states several of his friends have lost their licenses. He claims that his friends have similar drinking patterns and they help him drink the beer he is purchasing. He also claims that alcohol is not the cause of the moderate in his academic success, but blames the professors for being boring and make class dumb.
