Most of the stories told by beget Goose came from the distant ancient as folk stories told to kids. Perraults book was translated into English around the division 1729 as mother Gooses Fairy tales, but the stories did not get much attention until about 1760, this was when John Newberry, a friend and publisher of Olive Goldsmith very effectively made a brand new branch of the book trade by publishing 3 kids books: The Top Book of All, Gammer Gurtons Garland, and Mother Gooses Melody.
