Measuring innovation process is a major denote for academics and firms motorcoachs, as well as for broader entities such as regional or national systems of innovation. We propose an approach based on the statistical notion called test-value and multi-criteria decision analysis methods for evaluating firms innovation capabilities. This take a crap covers a set of twenty innovative industrial firms of the manufacturing landing field in the region of Lorraine (France).



This evaluation is based on a set of fifteen innovation best coiffes; each practice is subdivided into many specific criteria or sub-practices which are directly patent criteria in firms. Our approach permits to classify firms according to the overall execution of instrument of their innovation capabilities (four kinds of firms: proactive, preactive, reactive and passive). In this way, every industrial manager volition be able to compare its firms innovation process with the ones of other firms. Then he will be able to know its strengths and its weaknesses, and take corrective actions in the pertinent domains in order to reinforce its innovativeness according to its kind, or to change to a better category.
