Keep the minimal legal drunkenness age at 21

The Minimum Legal Drinking date (MLDA) should remain at 21 where it has been for the past 40 years.
For many, beverage alcohol is a leisurely way to pass the metre with friends or colleagues and can lead to some great stories and tremendous nights. When handled with c ar and drank in moderation, alcohol can be a reliable source of fun. Hopefully, however, that involves being at or higher up the age of 21. What about those who dont meet the minimum age requirement? Teens from 15 to 20 brook continuously been known to consume alcohol regardless of the rules and many have even begun to argue that the imbibition age should be displace to 18 instead of 21 (ProCon).
The question we need to cast to decide upon the Minimum Legal Drinking Age (MLDA) is whether teens are mature enough to consume alcohol without supervision. Can we entrust them to make the around responsible decisions while under the effect of alcoholic drinks? Would the risk of consequence be more obvious if 18 year olds were allowed to purchase alcohol? Simply portion it has been shown time and time again that the answer to these questions is clear.
With age rise responsibility, maturity and wisdom. Experiences develop these three traits that define peoples reliability.



Research shows that 18 is simply not old enough for these things to develop (ProCon). The most common and widely known consequence of underage drinking would easily be driving under the influence (DUI). In 2011 an average of 9 teens died in motor accidents every day. A third of these accidents were caused by teens that had been drinking alcohol prior to driving. In total, it can be estimated that 1,095 teens were killed due to drunk driving in 2011 alone. Such statistics show that teens who regularly consume alcohol are not responsible enough to indulge in the drink.
