An essay on my city is one of the very interesting essays that one could ever be asked to write. For instance, when writing about the city of New York, one could begin by stating that New York City is a city of many cultures and a city that has very many interesting places to visit.
An interesting thing about New York is that it is one of the cities of the world that actually never sleeps. If one visits the city during the day or night, one will find the city wide awake. One will also discover that the night life of the city is just as lively as the day life.
New York is known for many things and among these is the statue of liberty which is a modern marvel and an American national monument that symbolizes many of the things that the United States of America nation stands for. These values friendship, democracy and also freedom, just as the name of the statue suggests.
This important national monument found in my city enables people to study the independence history of the US while at the same time enabling those who get on it to have a spectacular view of the US harbor.
Another must visit place in the city’s Museum of modern art which also happens to be one of the most popular and influential museums in the world. Some of the major attractions in this museum include the various displays of both modern and ancient forms of art. New York central park is also a must visit to interact with nature and breath fresh air.
