The changes and continuities in the cultures of south-east Asia from 600 CE to 1450 CE
1) Southeastern Asian cultures were touch in different way throughout 600 C.E. to 1450 C.E. As Chinese and Indian influences merged with the cultures from the civilizations in Southeastern Asia, aspects in the cultures changed in ways such as introducing new religions such as Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. Trade also helped alter the policy-making control of the civilizations by giving them ideas as to how to run their government. However, the cultures remained the same as to not necessarily giving up their own traditions, but latch on forms of different organization and faiths to help run their civilizations. Also, the goods and items that were exchanged in trade never changed such as textiles, beads, gold, silver, and manufactured alloy goods.

* For a millennium and more, Southeast Asian peoples commensurate Indian political structures and religions to local needs and interests. They borrowed Indian forms of political organization and accepted Indian religion faiths.
Although Indian arm forces rarely ventured into the region, Southeast Asian lands reflected the influence of Indian society, as merchants introduced Hinduism, Buddhism, Sanskrit writings, and Indian forms of political organizations.
* Islam also contributed to a change in culture for these different societies. Beginning about the 12th century, Islam institute a solid footing in Southeast Asia, as Muslim merchants, many of whom Indians, established trading communities in the historic port cities of the region. During the next 500 years, Islam attracted a sizable spare-time activity and became a permanent feature in much of Southeast Asia.
