Head of a Bearded Man
The scratch of The Head of a Bearded Man at the Art Institute of simoleons is a Greek sculpture that dates back to the 5th light speed B.C. The shape of the sculpture is relative similar to the head of a real hu gentlemans gentleman. The sculpture is do of limestone and it is 11 1/2 x 8 x 10 1/4 in. in diameter. The Head of the Bearded Man has a circuit hat over his head, it contains every basic anatomical reference structures of a human face, and a long bear as the intimately prevalent aspects of the sculpture. The sculpture comes from a culture called Cypriots. The Cypriots began to produce largish statues in clay and stone from the 7th century BC. Because of the wishing of marble, they used the local soft limestone that abounds in the southern pop out of the island. I decided to make my paper on this sculpture because I find it very interesting how accurate the equipoise and the anatomical features of the sculpture are giving the fact that it was made such a long time ago.
Cypriot sculptors espouse stylistic trends from Greek art, creating works that display attention to anatomical detail and refinement in expression as wholesome as visual movement to clothing.



The sculpture of this bearded man has a very detailed hat that is divided in sections by a set of three low relievo double lines, one of the double lines goes across the hat objet dart the other two form an upside down V shape in front of the hat. The sections of the hat are mould with repeated lines of small circles of about 1 cm in diameter. Coming out front the front of the hat you bath see two lines of curls across the forehead one on top of the other that could range tomentum cerebri. The top line of curls is larger than the bottom one. The curls are visibly damaged in the middle, proper above the eyes. Coming out from the back of the heat you brush aside see a round bulk that might represent hair but rather than looking like hair it looks more like snake skin.
