Some disease-causing organisms that the body rejects are called bacteria, fungi, parasites and viruses. The way the body is able to compel these invaders is called immunity. The immune system is made up of mostly lily-white blood cells and their contact with lymph, nodes, spleen, tonsils, intestines, and lungs. The immune system rejects and attacks any substances non present within the humans body. However, sometimes the immune system attacks and damages these healthy tissues. When this occurs it is called an autoimmune response or autoimmunity.
When antigens (body invaders) are found, cells work together to react on it. at one time the cells begin to react on it the lymphs produce antibodies that react on specific antigens. Once these antibodies appear in a humans body, having a disease repeated in ones body is almost impossible.
