Morning-

bloody shame- In this chapter of the book, we see the introduction of Mary and her past. She was the daughter of parson Adam Bruintjies. She was very flirtatious with the local boys. She also was the angiotensin-converting enzyme of the marching band and had a deep love for the church. provided because she was so flirtatious, her father sent her to live with her aunt on Caledon Street near the Buckingham palace.



However, she refused to listen to her aunt and continued to be flirty. But when the things got heated between her aunt and Mary because of her activities, Mary travel out of her aunt’s house and moved in with the Knights on Buckingham palace. Eventually, she married Henry, the knight-before-the-last. And they moved to a new-fangled house. However, after Henry lost his enthusiasm for her, he ran by and Mary became the Madam of the Casbah. Then the rest of the Girls started to move in with her; Butterfly, Fiela, Moena Mooies and others. She employed Zoot September as her bounce/handyman. However, even with her new profession, she remained highly religious.
